North Kingstown Property Revaluation Letters
North Kingstown Property revaluation letters were received this week by all property owners in North Kingstown RI real estate. As you may know it is required that a revaluation occur every 3 years for statistical purposes and every 9 years for full
property re-evaluation in accordance with state law. This current re-assessment was a statistical re-evaluation based upon market values and current property sales.
This Property Revaluation letter has confused many homeowners who did not look at the bottom part of the letter. It is in the last sentence that states your old and new assessment. So make sure you did not throw this letter away but review it closely.
Most North Kingstown homeowners that have been calling me have seen their property assessments decrease. No time for rejoicing yet since the new tax rate will not be finalized until July of this year. This property assessment is based upon 100% of the fair market value of your property as of December 31st, 2012.
If you do not believe your new assessment is correct or want it reviewed, you may schedule an appointment with Vision Government Solutions.
