Spring Might Be Around The Corner. We have gotten hit with over 48" of snow between our last two snow storms, which makes you think that Spring will never come. But then a ray of hope appears, and mother nature begins to tease with visions of Spring, such was this weekend.
On Friday we got about 12" of snow here in Middletown, Connecticut, but it was followed by temperatures of over 50 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. The warm weather not only has us feeling like Spring might arrive early after all, but the daffodils further added to that hope.
Yesterday as the sun was melting the snow away from the house, I noticed the daffodils were beginning to battle there way up through the snow. I hope the daffodils know something that I don't know, and that they are predicting an early Spring.
I am ready for Spring, so I hope that this first appearance of the daffodils are a sign that maybe, just maybe Spring Might Be Around The Corner.
