Dallas home owners have their favorite drinkeries, restaurants and other hotspots, but Dallas' newest speakeasy may just be the coolest place in town...if you can find it. Like any good speakeasy is, half of the fun of spending an evening at The Establishment is finding the front door.
Located in the former Trece Space, The Establishment is located near Sur La Table (it's the first door to the left). Don't bother looking for a sign or other indication that you've arrived; it's a plain door that you should push open and enjoy the cocktail heaven that awaits.
For now, you can make a reservation or just walk in, but eventually, Michael Martensen says he wants to move to a reservations-only policy. If you'd like a table, give the folks at Cedars Social a call at 214-928-7700 and they will take your reservation for the time being.
The low-lit cocktail bar would make an epic spot for a first date, and while there aren't any barstools at the bar for you to belly up on, the five plush booths act almost like a stage where you can watch the expert mixologists tackle their liquid works of art. What makes this bar even better is there is no menu. A bartender will discuss your cocktail preferences with you, and then create something that will please your palette. It's a truly unique experience in Dallas, and one that is sure to gain a cult following.
