Congratulations should go out to both teams.
The point that I'm trying to make is that, just like my inaccurate title above
Just because you heard it - doesn't mean it's true!
maybe you've heard some of these statements...
- You have to be behind before they'll modify your loan.
- A Short Sale takes forever to get approved.
- I'm going to Short Sale and also payoff my credit cards.
- Agents won't show your home if it's a Short Sale.
- The Government is forcing all the lenders to lock their adjustable rates.
- They've eliminated First Time Buyer Programs.
- If you Short Sale you'll get a 1099 and have to pay taxes on it as income.
- The new law says that the Lender cannot send you a 1099 anymore.
- If you are behind the lender will not modify your loan.
- FHA Loans are Subprime and at high rates.
- Jumbo Loans are now Conforming Loans.
- The Mortgage Debt Forgiveness Act means I can just walk away.
- I can't be helped, I have a Notice of Default.
- Filing bankruptcy will stop my Foreclosure.
- The Feds are going to drop mortgage rates again.
- The bank doesn't really want to work with me.
- I'll short sell my house to my Sister and then buy it back cheaper.
Much like the inaccurate title above - ALL these statements are FALSE.
It's imperative now, more than ever before, to know the correct information. The correct information is out there, you just need to know who to ask!
