I am so disappointed with the response that I received from the Realtors in the Harrisburg area. I'm licensed in Pennsylvania, but I'm way in in Pike County, so doing anything in Harrisburg is really pointless for me.
My girlfriends daughter is leaving the Army at the end of March and will be attending School in Harrisburg. She asked if I could help her find a place. My Response was I would be happy to find her a realtor in Harrisburg that would make sure she found a nice place. Next stop "Active Rain", so far I have called 3 agents, no response at all. Now I understand that this is only a rental and not a big commission to the agent, but I find that rentals generally are 1 appointment and done. Not a bad way to make a few hundred bucks. So now I'm going to tell this young lady that she should just check Craigs List and hope she ends up someplace nice in a good area.
Prior to this my experience here with referrals was positive and had received a few and it had worked out nicely for all parties. I also have several friends with kids going to college in the next few years and most are looking at State schools, it would have been nice to have found someone in Harrisburg to send them too. Now I'm very leary. If I don't receive a response would they.
