Offering to Be Mentor For Newbie Here in The Rain, Sensei/Grasshopper

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Everything Pines Partners Fayetteville

Offering to be a mentor for a newbie here in the Rain!

Sensei/Grasshopper

I would like to offer to be a mentor for the challenge! I never get tired of talking about the “how to’s” of blogging and all the ActiveRain has to offer....
Dancing in the rain
I think that it is a wonderful group to offer services to people who have the motivation to get started with blogging. You will be amazed if you take the time and stick with it just how much it can help you in your business!

Not just with bringing you clients from the internet, if you are a “rainmaker”, but also what you can learn from the community, the referral’s you will share as people get to know you and you get to know others.  There is so much you can get from one place it is simply amazing!

So if you are looking for information about how to customize your blog, add video, links, social media buttons, etc I would be glad to help you get that done! Tech tips for real estate is my best topic but I am not bad about how the rain works ;)

Look forward to helping out!!

Mellissa,

A short question about blogging on Active Rain. I am new here. When I first joined about a month ago, I would  write an individual blog post for each group I wanted to post to, repeat the process for the next one and so on.

At some point someone pointed out to me that I was  " wasting time " and that I could write one blog post on my blog, then just copy the same post to 5 groups at a time.

Other than getting more posts for Google, how does this benefit the group? I find that most of the posts on the groups are just the same posts repeated over and over again.

Am I missing something here ?

Melisa,

 Thank you !!

Melisa spent about an hour on the phone with me last night, Friday night, around supper time.  I am sure her husband and kids appreciated that gesture :)  I know I certainly did.

I actually ended the conversation because I felt so guilty taking up so much of her time.

Nothing can replace battle earned experience, the kind that Melissa has and is willing to share with others.

She richly deserves the title of Ambassador.

Bryan

PS It took me awhile but I THINK I signed up for your Blog subscriptions, let me know If I am there, on the right hand side of the page where the daily Blog Posts appear ?

Cara,

Melissa is a great resource here on AR, she has stepped up and helped me, she will do so with you as well !

As for you ugggg comment above about getting lost for words.

Go with your gut, I have been making a living for 34 years, speaking and writing about topics that I am passionate about.

You have a service that you are offering your clients, talk about why they should use you, how well you intend to service them, what advantages you offer them, what makes you the go to gal in your industry?

Melisa will help you get off the porch and run with the big dogs !! I would also be happy to lend a hand.

Good luck

Bryan

Melissa,

I have just joined active rain and am a complete technophobe.  I have been told by my web designer that I should throw myself in at the deep end, so here I am.  I have only just signed up for an account and stumbled across your offer of a helping hand.  I am in over my head and have no idea where to start!  Just trying to navigate the AR site to figure out where I fit is making my knees turn to jelly!

I suppose the first thing I need to understand is do I receive comments via email, or must I log in to view comments?  It would be a shame to ask a question and never figure out how to get an answer!!   (please make a note of my details in case I never find you again!).  Thank you!
