I'm a TJ Junkie!

I'm a TJ Junkie - Mel PetersonI'm a TJ Junkie!  Four years ago, I wrote a post about the need for a Trader Joe's in Southern Oregon.  I highlighted the Facebook Fan Page and I even contacted their Corporate office to tell them... 'If You Build It, They Will Come!'

Trader Joe's responded by saying that Southern Oregon simply didn't have the population or demographics to warrant a store.  Oh yeah?!  Well that didn't stop me and thousands of my fellow Southern Oregonians from hounding Trader Joe's.  And, guess what... it worked!

Last fall, Trader Joe's opened a store at 55 Court Street in Medford, Oregon just off Exit 30 on Interstate 5.  It's a spacious store with excellent parking (something that lacks at many Southern California locations).  I'm in seventh heaven these days... (it doesn't take much).  I especially love the TJ nut aisle... so much variety!  Okay... go ahead... call me nutty... I can take it!

Seriously... I'm stoked about Trader Joes and their excellent selection of organic foods at a ridiculously reasonable price.  Not to mention, the free samples of yummy goodness they share every day.  I confess... I'm turning into a TJ junkie... and all I wanna do is kick back, enjoy a cup of Joe and chill at TJ's ;-)

Mel--    I was introduced to Trader Joe's when we lived in Leesburg, VA.  Unfortunately, we don't have one here... yet.

Wow Melinda, thanks for the idea.  My husband and I love Trader Joes, but the nearest one is 30 miles away, and a pain in the you know what to get to.  Rumor has it they are putting one in our city, but TJs denies it.  I buy two buck chuck by the cases, of course, it recently went to $2.49, so I guess that would be called "up chuck".....lol

Love that store. Used to a couple of block from one when I lived in Southern California. Maybe someday in Destin!

That's how I felt when Kroger showed up at my Lake so I totally get it.  The closest TJ's is in Athens where my daughter went to college a little over an hour away.

Was it the $2 buck Chuck that first drew you into the store?  I have one around the corner and sincerely haven't ever been in.  You may have me there....

Mel,

We are there so often, and you are right about their organix stuff, when I run out...love their fruit and veggies, and great selection of cheese.  And recently, they have brought in some great wines. A
