Allstate Insurance says they have plans to add jobs across Texas, and Irving home owners who have mid-level sales experience are encouraged to apply. The insurance giant will ramp up their recruiting efforts around the state, including adding over 120 new agency owners this year.
Lisa Banks, Allstate's Texas Strategic Deployment Leader, said, "Many veterans are looking for solid opportunities to become their own boss when they leave the military. They have gained exceptional leadership, decision-making and communication skills through their experience in the service, which are all important qualities in becoming a successful small business owner."
It's expected that Allstate will add about 360 new Texas jobs. In the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, their goal is to hire 105 people, including 35 Exclusive Agents who would then hire an additional 70 in support staff.
Banks adds, "While our goal is to appoint at least 120 new Allstate agents in Texas this year, we're not stopping at that number. Allstate wants to continue growing with Texas and we are aggressively targeting qualified professionals. If they don't have an insurance background, we'll provide them with comprehensive education and the resources to help them get off to a solid start."
