It is hard to call Viera a neighborhood...it is really a group of dozens of small neighborhoods or sections that when all smashed together make up the Master Planned Communities of Viera East and Viera West. The population of the two together is approaching 20,000 residents.
Each of the sections can have a very different feel but all the homes within any given section will fit within the HOA (home owner association) guidelines...so you never have to worry about buying the biggest home or most expensive home within the neighborhood...they all fit nicely together!
As with any Master Planned Community the HOA will have strict guidelines to what you can or cannot do with your property (if you like to park cars out front on your lawn up on blocks...this will not be the right place for you...but if you like all the homes to look nice and want to make sure you neighbor does not decide to paint their home plaid...Viera is a great choice!
If Viera appeals to you the choices in living arrangements will be almost endless...from apartment living to townhomes, patio homes, small to large single family homes...and my favorite 55+ community on the Space Coast...and neighborhoods will exist to satisfy almost any buyer!
The amenities in Viera really are over the top! From the A-Rated Schools (including the highly acclaimed Viera High School) to Space Coast Stadium (Spring home of the Washington Nationals and year round home of the Brevard Manatees) baseball park this place has it all. The shopping options are quite good...including the Avenues...an outdoor style large walking mall (try Pizza Gallery if you go. It has good pizza and awesome artwork...a weird combo...lol). The Brevard Zoo (a really amazing regional zoo) butts right up against Viera...and is a can't miss experience. FYI: Viera is just loaded with medical options and hospitals...you can not avoid being close to your doctor...including military doctors.
Viera has great appeal to buyers from all categories including families, seniors, empty nest buyers, snow birds (many live on the golf course), those who work at Nasa (it straddles I-95) and anyone looking to be in the heart of a clean and new growing community!
