Routine roof maintenance can save money in the long run

A small, undetected roof leak can lead to major issues inside a home. One way to prevent this from happening is to perform routine maintenance. It’s a good idea to talk with an experienced contractor about routine roof maintenance.

The National Roofing Contractors Association recommends a home’s roof should be inspected in the spring and fall to help spot potential problems early. The NRCA’s guidelines include:

·         Cleaning gutters.

·         Checking shingles for damage.

·         Inspecting around chimneys, pipes and skylights.

·         Examine interior walls and ceilings for water damage.

Many reputable roofing companies offer free repair estimates. Routine maintenance can save homeowners a lot of money in the long run.

Spring Market in Glastonbury CT is just around the corner and these simple but valuable tips can save you big money in repairs and will help keep buyer happy at time of inspection result in a SALE for you!

You are so right. Two of my last 6 listings needed roof repair. Could have been worse, but some home owners just don't think about maintaining the roof.
