How Realtors Get Paid!
Did you know Realtors don get a Salary?
Yes, that is correct - Realtors do not receive any income except those earned from a sell of a real estate property. Example, if you are purchasing a property and are represented by a Realtor - your Realtor is know as a "Buyers Agent" his/she is only paid if you make it all the way to the closing table - in other words, you buy the property after the agent has taken their time & gas to present each an every property on your list.
The other way a Realtor gets paid is if they represent you as a "Sellers Agent", in this role they will represent the seller of the property also known as a "Listing". He/she would take time out of their day/week/month/year and represent you as well as promote your property in multiple ways; (Internet, Magazines, Newspaper, Yard Signage, and Lock Boxes etc.). All in hopes that they will sell your property in the shortest period of time, keeping the agent's cost to the minimum. After all it's the agent's money and not the sellers'.
"All In All" - It's neither the Seller nor is it the Buyer who pays the Realtor, but the property. Because in my opinion; the Seller is paying due to the "Sell" of they property and has lost that much in profit. And the it's also the "Buyer" who borrows the money, in the ability to purchase the property.
The reason for this post is in the hopes to educate the public, that seems to assume that Realtors are given a so-called "FREE" ride and get all expense paid plus a company vehicle mentality. Plus a working salary...
We only work for the "Client" which basically means; we only get paid if we earn your "BUSINESS"...
Great Points... I hope a lot of people read this that may not understand... It's not all an easy ride for us!
