A Little Bit of This and A Little Bit of That

As mentioned before, several of the free on-line photo editors offer a number of entertaining and creative possibilities for enhancing any pictures we work with.

Recently, I blogged about enhancements to Ribbet’s free editing application.  Ribbet added a great little eraser tool, which allows cool things to happen while working with layers.  An example can be seen by visiting, “New Enhancements to Ribbet Free On-line Photo Editing Tool.”

This evening I was playing with another popular photo editor, iPiccy.  In iPiccy, you are not only able to do basic edits, like resizing, color change, embossing, sharpening, etc.  You can also apply HDR and many creative effects, like textures, lights and rainbows.

I edited the photo above by implementing a little bit of this, and a lot of that, while using iPiccy.  I suggest if you work with photos, you try iPiccy, and explore the possibilities.  Great fun!

I take pictures for the purpose of remembering fond times.  I do not impose copyright restrictions on this photo, so you may feel free to use, or distribute as you wish.  However, should you need a Real Estate Professional in the Greater Sacramento area, I hope that you will contact me by email or by visiting my website www.myrljeffcoat.com - Thank You!

Alexandra - I absolutely 100% agree with you about paper.  I worked several years for a software development company.  When I arrived there I was introduced to a closet of many manuals on how to operate our software.  The Senior Vice President thought it a great idea to scan those pages and burn them to CDs.  After the project was complete, everyone then went about the business of printing off those pages from the CDs.  It was hilarious!  Even today, after as many years as I have been using a computer, there are some things I don't feel secure about until I have them printed off.  The younger generation isn't quite like that though.  So, there is hope for the trees in the forest:-)

Hi Myrl, This looks like a photo I took from the other side of it with the view looking the other way. Whew, did that make any sense? You made a piece of art from a great photo. And these expressive photo art works really make for a great blog addition.

William - Why of course, it makes perfect sense!  In other words, you were on the south side of the bridge looking north, while I shot the picture looking south from the north side of the bridge.  But, that's only because we speak the same language.  No one else would understand it. . .LOL

Christine - I've never used Photoscape.  In fact, I hadn't heard of it.  Now, I'm off to explore another tool!

I have played with iPiccy a little bit. Started using Picasa based on a recommendation from an AR member. (Sorry, don't remember who.)

Sheila - I'm glad you like it!  I continue to enjoy several of the free on-line editors available today.

Than - Picasa is another editor I have played with.  Which editor I will choose on any given day will depend on how the stars are aligned, the mood I'm in, and possibly what I'm trying to accomplish:-)
