Third Coast Holds Reptile Expo in Katy

The Katy Elks Lodge is hosting a Third Coast sponsored Reptile Expo on Saturday March 23 and on Sunday March 24, 2013. The Expo will open from 10AM until 5PM on Saturday and from 10AM until 4PM on Sunday. The Katy Elks Lodge is physically located at 1050 S. Katy Fort Bend Road Katy Texas in old Katy. The lodge is just north of Highway 90.

I have told my readers on numerous occasions that Katy has something for everyone including reptile lovers. The show is open to the public. I am not a reptile fan or reptile type of guy but some folks love them. I prefer dogs.

This Expo is featuring reputable breeders from all over the country as well as special guest speakers and seminars. Third Coast specializes in providing its customers with a wide selection of reptiles, reptile supplies and education for the entire family. The animals available at the Expo include boas, pythons, colubrids, chameleons, prairie dogs and several other small mammals.

A best of show contest will also be held.

I tried to stop by last year to take pictures but the show was already over for the day when I arrived and there were only a few folks but animals inside the lodge.

Sounds interesting. I am a big fan of reptiles. Lots of individuals don't consider the difficulty of keeping them and recreating a suitable environment.

I've got two Dwarf African Frogs that I was given over the Christmas holiday - that is exotic enough - and with Mac is plenty of responsibility for me. Ha ha. I'll bet it's a popular event though.

I love frogs, snakes, and LIZARDS! Lizards are my favorite of all. I think they are beautiful. I respect snakes and have held many boas and regular snakes but they are hard for me to tell the difference between the poisonous and okay snakes. So I don't go there much but I am not afraid of them.

I like having lizards bite my ear lobes so I can wear them as earrings but they refuse to stay there so I just hold them.

Sussie.. Wow I have to say you have impressed with your fearless attitute. I really do not like snakes but some are really good to have living near your home such as rat snakes.
