Any type of home is eligible for this program, except for mobile or manufactured homes. Condominiums and townhouses are also eligible. Properties may be purchased anywhere within the County and all six cities. The maximum purchase price of an assisted home cannot exceed $240,000.
Who is eligible for this program?
Applicants who make less than 120% of the median income for the Tampa Bay area may apply for assistance. This is adjusted for family size. Currently, this is as follows:

1 Member: Very Low: $19,900 Low Income: $31,850 Mod. Income: $47,760
2 Members: Very Low: $22,750 Low Income: $36,400 Mod. Income: $54,600
3 Members: Very Low: $25,600 Low Income: $40,950 Mod. Income: $61,440
4 Members: Very Low: $28,400 Low Income: $45,450 Mod. Income: $68,160
5 Members: Very Low: $30,700 Low Income: $49,100 Mod. Income: $73,680
6 Members: Very Low: $32,950 Low Income: $52,750 Mod. Income: $79,080
You do not have to be a first-time home buyer to participate in this program, nor be a current Pasco County resident. You must attend a no cost County Homebuyer class in order to receive assistance.
How much County money can I borrow?
The amount of County funds that are available first depends on how much the financial institution is able to lend you and how much you can put down. There is a limit on how much can be lent, depending on your income level and type of home you are purchasing:
Very Low Income: $10,000
Low and Moderate Income: $5,000
This is a great program for prospective homebuyers who are a little short on the money needed to purchase a home. The money borrowed from the County is in the form of a 0% interest loan and has very affordable payment terms.
Pasco County also has other Down Payment Assistance programs available including up to $30,000 available for the purchase of one of their “NSP” homes.
