Be careful where you put your hands... Yuck!

In the course of our services to clients last week we had a truly gruesome experience.

One of the inspections had indicated possible rot under the dishwasher due to a hose that had become disconnected.

When we were told that the dishwasher had been removed, we stopped by to check the condition of the inside of the cabinet.

Ralph reached into the depths of the dark place where the dishwasher had been.  He found that the floor and sides of that area were pithy And in need of repair.  Not a healthy environment to install a new machine.

He also found a wad of questionable material hanging from the hole that the power wire came out.  When he pulled it out, he exclaimed YUCK. YUCHIK indeed!  It was a deteriorated carcass of a dead rat!

Since he already had picked it up, he disposed of it in the outside trash.

When he returned he tried to turn on the water in the sink.  The water had been turned off!  Quick run to the car for some hand sanitizer until we could get to a water source for a thorough scrubbing.

We are sharing this disgusting experience with you in hopes that you will add hand sanitizer to your car arsenal of equipment.  Also so you will not put your hand any place you cannot see clearly.  When we learn from each other, we all win.

It's a good thing Ralph could handle this.  I'm not sure I would have.

Hello Jeanne and Ralph, thanks for sharing your experience. The moral lesson I guess is to always keep a hand sanitizer at your car. Adding gloves may be a great idea too.
