This Saturday, March 23rd at 3pm the Plainfield Symphony will be holding their "Adventures into the Musical Imagination". The event is FREE and will take place at the Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church located at 716 Watchung Avenue in Plainfield.
The concert is geared toward families and younger attendees. Several performers in the Symphony are younger musicians including 2012 Young Pianist Competition winner in the New Jersey Concerto Division Kevin Lee. Mr. Lee the featured soloist will perform the piano solo on Profkiev's Piano Concerto Number 1 in D Flat Major, Opus 10.
Pianist and composer Amanda Harber will narrate Profkiev's Lieutenant Kife Suite. Ms. Harberg has performed with several symponies and orchestras including the New Jersey Symphony.
Other pieces to be played are Berloz's Roman Carnival Overture and Bagley's National Emblem March.
