We have recently spoken to some agents who have had difficulty in getting past the Login screen on the site. Usually when a user is having issues with logging in, or when a user is getting frozen on a certain screen it is an issue with the browser they are using and there are some easy and fairly quick fixes. Please take a look at the checklist below to help set up your browser correctly, and clear out temporary internet files and cookies.
Recommended web settings:
To troubleshoot your browser issue, please adjust your Internet Explorer web browser settings using the following instructions. Please go down the list until the issue is resolved.
1) Make sure that both Internet Security and Privacy are set to DEFAULT - MEDIUM. Go to Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Click Security tab > Click DEFAULT (Medium) > Click apply Click Privacy tab > Click DEFAULT (Medium)> click Apply then OK.
2) Add Equator.com to your list of Trusted Sites Go to Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Click Security tab > Click Trusted Sites > Click the SITES button > type https://www.equator.com and click ADD.
3) Clear your Cookies and Temporary Internet Files Go to Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options >, On the General tab Click on the DELETE COOKIES button> Then Click the DELETE FILES button > Check off to delete offline content as well. This may freeze your computer if you haven’t done this in a while.
4) Temporary Internet Files Go to Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > On the General tab click the Temporary Internet Files "Settings" button > At the top of the Pop up, "Check for newer versions of stored pages", select "Every Visit to the webpage".
Please Note: Equator is optimized for use with Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox also works well with the Equator site. Before completing any work on Equator, please make sure that your JavaScript is enabled.
Internet Explorer:
1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Internet Options'
3. Click on the 'Security' tab
4. Click on 'Default Level'
5. Click Apply and OK
Mozilla Firefox:
1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
2. Choose 'Options'
3. Choose 'Content' from the left navigation
4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK
Another step you might try is to make sure that you have the most current version of Windows Internet Explorer. Open Internet Explorer and Select Tools then Windows Update. Microsoft will check your system for any updates. Click to download all critical updates.
If you have tried these fixes and are still having issues please contact support via Live Chat or through email at agenthelp@equator.com . We hope these tips resolve any issues you may be experiencing.
