Not ready for real estate - Nikon drops the ball

Just got my brand new broken Nikon Camera back and just had to check to see if they had decided to fix it after all (it would have been the RIGHT thing to do.)

Well I've since purchased the Pentax x-5 and so far so good... will report on this when I have more experience. The Nikon experience is a real downer, I loved my Kodak and Panasonic cameras.

Turn the camera off, remove the lens cap, and turn the camera on. Nikon Coolpix Camera L810

That is really disappointing - especially for a Nikon camera.  I'm a Canon devotee but that's really bad.

I just had a nikon zoom lens repaired. Of course it was not a warranty so I did have to pay for it.

Francine - Thanks for the comment. I found it disappointing too. Their poor attitude was really amazing. Even if the camera were gifted to me, technically the warranty would not be valid (the fine print that is not on the outside of the package)

Hi Jeanne and Ralph, Thanks for the comment...I wouldn't have minded paying for it to be fixed if it weren't brand new. :)
