Which Presidential Candidate is Best for the Real Estate Market?

By

I believe there will be a big voter turnout on Super Tuesday. Which candidate will be the best for the real estate market? What policies have you heard that will help the real estate market begin to thrive again?

I think Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton seem to be in a dead heat. McCain looks to be the favorite over Romney, Huckabee and Ron Paul. Any predictions?

I think that this is going to be a very interesting elections, There are just too many variables in this elections to go through.  Currently still trying to figure out who I like best to give you any predictions on a winner.  Will keep an eye on this posting to see who A/R members like.

Aaron,

It is not so much about who the best candidate is for what they personaly can do for real estate. It is more about lifting up the country in a positive manner. In times of prosperity and growth the real estate industry does well. In times of despair people tend to sit on thier hands neither buying or selling unless forced into it.

It is clear at least from my perspective. We can not continue travelling down the same path as we have been for the past 7 years. Unless we want to see the same results.

I'm not sure at all that voters have the intellectual capacity to assess which candidate is best for any reason, let alone real estate.

Former President Bush once said in a State of the Union address that real estate has led the country out of a number of recessionary periods.  His son must not have listened to that speech.

What seems fairly clear is that the "trickle-down" economic theories that have been tried again during the past two presidential terms haven't worked.

It is a tough call this year because the differences in each candidate have some positives and negatives for each. I am still undecided.

I don't think that the new President will have  much effect (on the real estate market) one way or the other, no matter which one is elected.
