What You Need For Spring – By “Tres Chics” - Home Decorating Advice

By
Home Stager with Kates Home Staging and Interior Design Owner & Lead Designer

Spring is here!  Time to update your home decor and incorporate brighter hues and let some fresh air in.

To celebrate the start of Spring, two of my designer friends and I wanted to make it special.  The three of us have decided to express what Spring means to us using our Design Boards.

We have named our Design Team “Tres Chics” and here are the members and our Spring Design Boards:

Charisse Colbert Charisse Colbert – CMC Design Studio

Charisse’s Design Boards are “What You Need for Spring – Dining Room, Tabletop, & Dining Storage.”

The use of wallpaper patterns with the greens, grays, and blue tones works beautifully together.  Spring design trends show the increase of floral wallpaper.  Check our Charisse’s Blog to learn more about her design boards.

Catz’s  Design Board is “Oceanside Breakfast in Bed.”

Catz has a home on the Gulf Coast, but does not spend enough time there.  The ocean and sand help her to relax.  She uses pastel colors that blend perfectly with her ocean view.  The blues, greens, and gold tones really unite the space and reinforce the relaxation effect.  Check out Catz’s Blog to learn more about her design boards.

My Design Board is “What You Need for Spring – Living Room.”

Spring Living Room

Adding colorful bouquets of flowers is a quick Spring update that anyone can do.  For me, Spring is a time of rebirth and I enjoy watching all the trees fill out and flowers begin to sprout new growth.

Incorporating more earth tones into your wall paint colors in another rather inexpensive update for any homeowner.

My Living Room Design Board incorporates a monochromatic yellow flower hue, which helps to unite the space.  Floral accent pillows further coordinate the space.

The wall paint color is Benjamin Moore Affinity (AF-695) Eternity.  This paint color has blue and gray tones mixed together creating a almost neutral tone.

By welcoming nature into your home decor style, you cannot go wrong.  The use of greens, blues, yellows, and gray colors definitely get us all in the mood for Spring.

If you enjoyed viewing “Tres Chics” interpretation of Spring, more home design boards can be found on Project Decor.  We hope you enjoyed our designs. - Kate
