"The content we write for you is not professional nor grammatically correct so we don't let you see where we've placed your link"
Are you kidding me?!
I literately heard this from a potential client this week that had gone with another SEO company. They repeatedly informed the client that they have been placing link building articles off-site but won't tell him where or give him the link to the page. When asked why, they replied that the content is not grammatically correct and not good content; it's just to add a link out there.
Okay, Stop right there.
Why would you ever want your link on some low-quality, content farm with bad spelling and grammar?
I mentioned that the reason for that is, IF the articles even exist, is that they outsource the content to places that don't know our language, grammar, spelling, or our business, for that matter.
Good SEO is about building a great online presence. Every page, whether it's link building or informational should be good content; quality content that someone would actually learn from. When it comes down to it, it doesn't matter where the lead comes from, as long as you get the lead. Good content building happens by offering quality, unique content on a variety of platforms and websites, all linking back to the source. Guest blogging is fine, so long as it's good content. If people are writing for just for the sake of words on a page, fire them right now!
We write for a variety of businesses and industries yet all the content we produce is written either by us, or the very small team of writers that we employ. Each is a skilled writer with knowledge of their industry. We write about content that is meant to be found! Every post we write, whether it's for us or someone else is meant to offer some helpful information.
Don't lower your standards when it comes to the reputation of your website. Google is watching and so are your clients.
