Gainesville and Prince William County Neat Things to Do

By
Real Estate Agent with Long & Foster Realtors

Brentsville CourthouseIn the Gainesville Virginia and Prince William County area there are a multitude of things to do from hands on experience with farm animals or tracing and participating in the local history here. Actually it is not so local since most of the world has heard about the Civil War battles at Manassas Battlefield. This is just a short distance from the Heritage Hunt Active Adult Country Club. It is also a short distance from from the many townhouse and single family home subdivisions.

This area shows kids of all ages, from 1 to 101 that learning something new or seeing what we heard about in school is a great deal of fun. Who knew that history class was so much more interesting than what was in the book!

Somehow being where it all happened and knowing that real people were there makes the visit so much more real. Check this link and see where this courthouse is. It has been reported that ghosts sometime visit this place and the jail next door!http://www.pwcgov.org/government/dept/publicworks/hp/Pages/default.aspx

We have so much to see and do here in the Gainesville area. Come take a look!

History is full of great things about our country & the world. People do not read history & lose out on all of its meaning inncluding thae fact that it repeats itself.

True, when I watch History channel all I have to do is put those people in today's clothes. Not much changes.

History is so important - how wonderful that Prince William County takes great efforts to preserve it.

Caryl - it's nice to be able to see history upfront and "real" rather than simply reading about it --- you're very fortunate to live in an area so close to the history of our country.
