Hello all,

This is my first post to AR and really my first introduction to other RTV dealers. My name is Melanie and my company is Powerhouse Tours. I am located in the Indianapolis area (South of Indy actually) and I started my virtual tour business at the first of this year. I am a Realtor with ReMax Preferred and have been there for about 5 years. My motivation for getting into the exciting world of virtual tours was twofold. In one day I found myself ordering 5 virtual tours for my team. At the same time I was speaking with a realtor frind of mine in the Louisville area. We were discussing the business and I asked her if she offered VTs. She said she did but someone on her team did them for her. It was like a light bulb went off for me. It suddenly made absolutely no sense that I was paying someone else to do them for me. At first I was going to learn how to do them just for my team. I then decided that if I could do them for my team I could do them for anyone. And, voila, here I am. I am looking forward to meeting other dealers and learning from wiser, more experienced individuals.

I totally felt like I was reading my own bio when reading this post. Except, I started my RTV business last spring. I am a Realtor for Reece & Nichols in KC and was working with another virtual tour company and "helping" several other agents in our office with their pictures and the "stitching process." The only problem with that was that each agent had to have a contract with that particular service and I did all the work. When I discovered Real Tour Vision and there business ownership options, that was the ideal program for me. Now, I can not only create my own tours, but can create them for anyone else in my office, FSBO's, buyers and builders to name a few. It's been such a great "side job," that I think I'm ready to step it up a notch and finally get it off the ground! I'm hoping to learn a lot with this blogging (support) group and the technology learning curve that never seems to end.

Nice to meet you. I am sure taking virtual tours to the "next level" will work out great for you. I checked out your profile and we do have quite a bit in common. I actually used to lifeguard too (many years ago). I have been working on my blogging 'homework'. I think that group will be very informative for me.
