What are the advantages of a new home versus a used Home?

If you want to save money then you would probably select a new home. The new construction homes have many energy efficiencies that a used home would not have. David Weekley Homes is one of the most energy efficient homes builders in the area. We have won the Triple Crown of Energy Home Award and were name the GHBA Home Builder of the year award for 2013.

Another advantage of building your own home is to be able to pick everything in your new home from the lot, the colors, and the brick. It is really great to be able to build your own home.

Why buy old when you can buy new for the close to same price?

If you can really buy a new home for the sale price as a resale, the decision should be very easy.

New means just that, it is all brand new. It is like going to the department store or going to the Salvation Army to go shopping. Nice and new and shining is always great........if only homeowners would keep up with things in their homes, that nice and new look could remain but most people just let things go too long.

You make several very good points about buying a new home. Some folks just are not cut out to go through the building process. The new energy efficiences your DW homes have will savea homeonwer a lot of green over the time the buyers own the home.

Roy - We actually just had a study done by several nation wide builders and peopel do prefer existing home. The statistics were very interesting.
