January 2008 unit sales are down 7% from previous year.

Considering all the snowstorms in January this is to be expected. Another contributing factor is that active residential listings are also down 7% from last January. The sales to new listings ratio for January was virtually unchanged at 39% compared to 40% last January.

} 2008 average sale price is up 1.5% over 2007.

} 2007 was a record year.

} The area covered by the Greater Moncton Real Estate Board is the most active real estate market in New Brunswick.

} Residential units include single family detached homes, semi-detached, condominiums, mini homes, recreational properties, duplexes and triplexes. Both existing and new construction properties are included.
