Tarpon Turtle on Lake Tarpon was indeed my destination for lunch today with a good friend and former colleague from my teaching days. Natalie and I met and spent a couple of hours enjoying the sunshine and good food.
We also watched the heron, egret and gators as they watched us enjoying lunch. One little egret came right over to the table and I thought he was going to hop into the plate!
Too bad the wind was blowing so hard. It made a jacket necessary and I was wearing my snow boots........but I always wear them when the temperatures dip below 68 degrees!
