Richmond, VA Real Estate - Does House Staging Really Make a Difference?

Have you been stuck with a piece of Richmond, VA real estate for months and months wondering why nobody has been eager to buy or even make an offer? You know that the property you have would be perfect for somebody, but every time a potential buyer comes along you practically see them deflating like a balloon loosing air. Then, with promises of getting in touch, they just melt into thin air never to be seen again.

Probably not. Your house may seem fine to you but you are not viewing it through your buyer’s eyes. This is where a house stager can step in and take over. Sometimes it is just an accumulation of little things that are adding up and stopping the sale.


Richmond real estate buyers will come to view your home and that first look-see can make or break the deal. As the seller you and your agent need to make sure that they like what they see.


If you or a renter are still living in your property, show your house when other occupants are not there so that the buyer has time to look over the place without feeling as though they are invading your privacy.


If you have an appointment with a buyer, tidy up. Make sure your house is spotless from top to bottom so that the buyer can see it at its best. This includes mowing the lawn, taking out the trash, putting away all the tidbits, uncluttering your backyard and restoring some semblance of order to your garage.


Remember that for a buyer seeing your house for the first time, all they have to go by is the first visual impression. If your Richmond, VA real estate property is not up to par, you might not be seeing them again.
