First Annual Cripple Creek Ice Festival
When: February 8th - 10th and 15th - 18th

Where: Outdoors in the heart of Cripple Creek on the 200 block of Bennett Avenue in front of your favorite casinos; Brass Ass, Bronco Billy's, Colorado Grande, Gold Rush, JP McGills and the Midnight Rose.
What: World renowned ice sculptors will use chainsaws and assorted tools to create a larger-than-life winter scene of a mountain setting with a steam locomotive driving out of a tunnel, weighing over 30,000 pounds. Plus, you'll be able to wander thru a garden of wildlife including wolves, eagles, a moose, a buffalo and an elk.
This exciting event is free to the public and is welcome to preview the work in progress from approximately 10 AM to 6 PM February 8 & 9. After all the carving is done enjoy the ice sculptures daily thru February 18. A night visit is a must as they are spectacularly lit for everyone to enjoy.

Other exciting events include a Beer Garden with a nine-foot ice bar with a liquor luge, live entertainment open during the weekends, and a Downhill Gravity Race will be taking place on Saturday, February 16.
On February 16 & 17, The Butte Opera House presents "Rockin' for the PINK" MDT as Elvis will take his tribute beyond the music and show the heart of the man, benefiting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Buy tickets here.
