Borderline High Blood Pressure?

By
Industry Observer

For years now, I've heard from anyone who has ever taken my blood pressure that I should seek medical attention for it. It started with my last physical which was my last... about 15 years ago. When we used to believe in insurance, the nurse would come by and it was always the same thing... bordering on hypertension. Every time I go to the Dentist, "Did you have a lot of caffeine this morning?" No I just run a little hot Doc.

The first doctor who told me back when I was 40 gave me some free samples of drugs. It took care of the problem. Then one day, the samples ran out and I went to fulfill the script. $125. for a month's supply. So I asked the doctor then, how much longer will I have to take these to which he replied... "The rest of your life!" To which I asked, "Isn't there any other way to go about this?" He said, "Well you could change your diet and exercise routine and see if that gives you any results... but I've found most people don't do that and this is easier." That didn't sit well with me that he would just assume something so I went in search of other avenues.

I had some success but there were times when I would get lazy and slip back into the old patterns. The biggest change I made was cutting out Coke! Soft drinks are poison anyway... (I had a grandfather who died of heart trouble at the age of 57 and one relative always recalls that every time they saw him, he had a Coke in his hands.) So the next step was asking my friendly Dr. of nutrition at our local SaveMart which has a homeopathic section. His name is Dan Dureya but everyone just calls him Dr. Dan. He's a middle aged, single Christian man who proclaims to have never been sick a day in his life and is a licensed Doctor of Nutrition. He gave me ideas of natural things over the years and they had limited results but mostly I felt great and kind of dropped the products over the years.

The last time I went to the dentist, again they tell me I'm borderline... so I went back to Dr. Dan and told him I think I should do something about this. This last time he said, "Well if it's time to get serious then try this and handed me a product called Cardio VH by Emperical Labs. It's not sold over the shelves but should be easy to locate if you search for it. A doctor of nutrition could get it for you and I've found it online as well. The main active ingredient is something called rauwolfia Extract and is a very powerful natural diuretic. Dr. Dan advised me to only take one a day instead of the label's direction and test my BP. I found that I did need the entire dosage recommended on the bottle of once 3 times a day but since I've started it and along with maintaining exercise my pressure is absolutely perfect on a consistent basis. The best part is that there are NO side effects.

I try not to ever put medicines in my body as I've found most of them are actually harmful to our natural flora which leads to many other problems and lowers our immune system levels. My friend who is the head surgeon of emergency in our biggest local hospital tells me that the biggest problem in our healthcare system is needless medications and especially opiates and over the counter pain killers. Oh they kill the pain pretty much but they also kill a lot of good things in our system as well. One other tip he has for anyone who has a migraine headache... don't lie down, don't shield your eyes from the light but do the thing that seems the most unnatural thing in the situation... go and do the most physically active thing you can think of. For he and his mother who got these all the time it was chopping wood. He swears that within 10 minutes the pain subsides. He tells me that everything most doctors prescribe for migraines only feeds them instead from his experiences, or as he put it can lead to a 3 day headache instead of 15 minutes when you attack it with blood flow.

Richie, Yes, stress is a killer. I have no stress though and all I can tell is it's from my past history of drug and alcohol abuse or just plain old DNA handed down to me.

Mark, Your welcome, hope it helped. I forgot to note that this Cardio VH only costs me $17. a month. I've found other  products like Green coffee extract and the like but they are always more expensive too. By the way, I have relatives in San Clemente... bump into any Hornings out there?

Thanks Richie, it's more like authority though. I've learned that everything we overcome in this world gives us authority over it for the rest of our lives. I know if I did some of the drugs I used to do now, my heart would explode!

Ahh but grace and mercy can win out every-time ....IF WE LET IT. It is called repentance and it is a life saver if you allow it to do its work

MIke, Thanks... I believe you probably have a much larger audience than do I.

Richie, When I first heard this statement, I wasn't sure how I felt about it: "We either live a life of repentance or a life for repentance." What Bill Johnson meant when he said that was that we can repent and have salvation or we can live out our repentance each and every day until we see the Kingdom of God manifesting in every aspect of our life. It offended me at first until it really sunk in and I got it! Grace and mercy are IT though. Thanks.

All you have to do is listen to all the side effects in those TV commercials to know just how bad those drugs can be for you.  I saw one drug ad about people with depression and it says if you take XYZ and it still does not cure your depression, you can add ABC drug and that should help - side effects are thoughts of suicide, etc.  Really?

Rob, I wish people thinking of taking meds would just visit my brother in the nursing home first. The doctors thought they were helping my brother with all the meds they prescribed... now they have eaten his brain away to leave him with what they say is early onset alzheimers disease. 60 years old and can't do a thing anymore... he used to have a genius IQ level. I'm with you... obviously. These drugs they prescribe are only a mask that hides the problem. Our bodies have a built in alarm system and there are always alternatives if we take the time to search.
