The South Florida spring housing market is already underway!
Many people are getting excited about the South Florida real estate market and are anticipating better numbers for this spring in comparison to last year. When it comes to real estate, the spring season is the time for home buying and home selling.
Overall.....at the end of 2012....there were signs that are pointing toward a healthier real estate market for 2013. We can expect to see rising home prices, increasing consumer and investor confidence, and decreasing short sale and foreclosure activity throughout other parts of the country. We are expecting a seasonal rise of inventory this spring, but it may be insufficient to avoid more frequent incidences of multiple bidding and faster-than-normal price growth. Although specific progress will vary based on the location....overall..the year of 2013 should be positive for the real estate market’s progress toward recovery. Normally I'm mostly a listing agent but lately I've been getting more inquiries and referrals on home purchasing and have been working more with buyers and I've had the chance to notice an increase in home values over the last 6-12 months.
It also helps that mortgage rates have been at an all time low these days ..and so it seems that consumers are taking advantage of these low rates.
If you are targeting the South Florida spring market because you want to make the most out of the sale of your home....then don't wait too long. You may just find out that the spring real estate market has sprung without you.
