Agent Relieved of Duties For Stealing Meds From House She Was Selling

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Distinctive / LIC in VA

Well, another real estate agent will be looking for a new occupation. Homeowners believed their agent was stealing money and prescription meds from their house, and also drinking beer. Owners installed hidden camera, and their suspicions were confirmed. One less agent working in FL.

Not sure what some agents are thinking? Maybe she had become addicted to prescription meds, or she was selling them for quick cash?

I know, this happens in every occupation, and it could have been worse. At least she was caught before she started stealing jewelry or family heirlooms. Cameras are everywhere these days, but even if they weren't, there is no excuse for stealing from your clients homes.

What did you do for a living? I was a real estate agent.

How bout you? Oh, I was a loan officer.

Jeff, LOL funny caption for your graphic. On a somber note, what is that agent thinking? Desperate times? Thanks for the update, another agent bites the dust.

Jeff - this is horrific; I honestly do not understand how agents who take a REQUIRED code of ethics can see this is ok.

If you read the article, it says she was TEMPORARILY relieved of her duties.

Sure am glad I'm not managing broker at that office.  I think new listings and sales just went thru the floor.

#1- Hi Pamela, Sometimes we just have to shake our heads. Yes, desperate times is right. Thanks!

#2- Hi Carol, I don't understand it either. Another agent in Arlington VA was caught stealing clothes not long ago. Just doesn't make sense.

#3- Hi Kathy, Yes, it is sad and gives the industry a bad image.

#4- Hi John, I'm betting that Temporary become permanent, but who knows? Just think what affect this could have on other agents in her office. Maybe none or little, but some sellers could decide not to use that brokerage because of what this agent did..

Wow I hate when I hear stuff like this because it makes all of us look bad.  It makes future sellers suspicious of all Realtors.
