What do you want to fish for? Here are a few NW Wisconsin lake reports.
Walleye
Round Lake (3294 acres) and Lac Courte Oreilles (5139 acres) in Sawyer County WI. Last year 70% of the walleye from LCO were keeper size. Both lakes are deep and very clear and have big forage bases that grow large walleye.
Muskie
Upper Eau Claire Lake (996 acres) in Bayfield County WI. In 2012 size structure was very good with average length 41".
Shell Lake (2580 acres) in Washburn County WI. In the Spring 2012 netting survey, 38% of captured muskie were over 40' in length.
Largemouth Bass
Pokegama Lake (453 acres) in Washburn County WI reported 82 LM bass over 15" last year.
Northern Pike
In Nancy Lake (772 acres), the spring 2012 netting survey reported 11% of Northern more than 28".
