For several reasons, I have 3 available rental homes available NOW * OFF Rental Season * and I have priced their rent according to market and the rental prospects have just not been there....fortunately 2 have PRE-paid rent from the former occupants and one of the homes is one that I own and that I am having repainted.
As of April 1 * we are coming into the PRIME rental season so I am INCREASING the rents on the 2 UNrented homes that I have available NOW for occupancy.
I REposted these 2 rental listings on Craigslist this morning and UPPED their rent. I actually have a showing each scheduled for TODAY and MONDAY and I will "honor" the prior rents for those 2 prospects; however, NEW viewers of the listings on Craigslist or my HERO hosted website will see the INCREASED rent for occupancy in April * May or June.
In the "olden days"...increasing the rent (or sales price) for a listing included dealing with print media, MLS and any printed marketing materials....TODAY, I get to change my Craigslist TITLE and EDIT my listings on my website and they are INCREASED for future viewers.
For former viewers who might have been looking and had not pulled the trigger on viewing and applying for these rental units, they may have a reality check and see that they need to MOVE FORWARD FAST with getting a new rental home.
