You stage the house - how about the neighborhood?
Today's Spokesman Review carried a humorous column with what the writer said was a revolutionary new idea for real estate agents... It was a bit of nonsense, so I decided to share.
He said that last night as he bicycled home from work he noticed an agent and her clients exiting a home in his neighborhood. They stopped to watch him pass by, and it gave him a "brilliant" idea for a side job. He said they could hire him to pedal by homes just as buyers were due to arrive.
Upon seeing an "old guy" casually biking through the neighborhood they would naturally assume that it was a cozy, safe place to live.
Then he expanded on the idea, suggesting that depending upon the buyers, agents could hire different people to bicycle by, wave, and call a friendly greeting. In addition to "old folks," you could hire a young father with a baby in a carrier, a young couple obviously in love, or two sweet little girls who would promise to stay off the lawn.
But why stop there? You could also hire folks of differing ages to walk or jog by.
