My Grasshoppers Are Making Beautiful Music in the Rain.
For the Sensei/Grasshopper Challenge I wrote a blog saying if any newbie wanted help, wanted their blogs to look better or had any questions to let me know that I wanted to help them Soar in the Rain.
I am happy to report that I was able to help several in the Rain. I answered questions from some Rainers but with two grasshoppers I had phone call visits and we were able to dig a little deeper into the how-tos and the whys of blogging.
Bob Ratliff, a Texas real estate professional was already well on his way to having great blogs. His content was good and well researched and he presented it in a very easy to understand way. We talked about ways to make it easier and more eye-catching.
I shared the fact that I use Google Docs to write most of my blogs. I can choose a variety of fonts, colors and styles and copy it over into the ActiveRain blog editor. We discussed the value of putting in links to support the data of the blog and using proper keywords to get more attention from the search engines. His posts are as if he has been blogging for years and you need to go over to his blog and Subscribe. I know you will enjoy the read.
My other grasshopper was
Merline Pennant. An experienced and talented real estate lady, she has lots of insights into financing and real estate she wanted to share. She was adding photos but didn’t know how to wrap the text or space them. She also hadn’t set up her outside blog or added a background or menu colors. We covered all that and talked about adding links too. Her blogs are looking good and she has discussed some interesting topics in the Rain. I invite you to go over to her blog and see for yourself. I enjoyed getting to know both my grasshoppers better. They were both so receptive to my suggestions and seemed so appreciative. They can still contact me anytime for any other questions they might have. I am proud that I was able to assist them and help them with some specifics so they could be better bloggers..
