I know I have told this story before…but we enjoy it sooo much and the people it is about…it “blogs” repeating….A few years ago we sold a beautiful home to a couple who had two daughters…at that time 8 and 10 years old. Their parents surprised them….we met them at their new house….on Easter and they told their daughters that this would be their new home. We hid stuffed animals in their rooms and dashed through the house…pinching themselves…and probably each other …they were sooo excited to have such a beautiful new home.
The concept of a Realtor is a difficult one for children...let’s face it…it is difficult for some adults ! The kids went to school and told everyone who would listen that “Sally Hanson (Hansen in nail polish language) had GIVEN them HER house….how lucky could two girls be…! After all, think about it…her name on the sign…she had the keys, she knew the house….what other logical explanation could there be ! None to the mind of an 8 and 10 year old !
From that day to this….Easter baskets, Valentines and Christmas stockings are dutifully delivered complete with
Sally Hansen nail products. The girls don’t believe in the Easter Bunny or Santa any more…But they still believe in Sally Hanson….and know that she found them the house that have loved calling home and have lived there “happily ever after.”
