This is a cause near and dear to my heart. My daughter's mother-in-law is battling cancer and our family is reaching out for assistance in developing a fund to aid in our efforts of “Keeping Edie Well”.
Edie was diagnosed with lung cancer in the summer of 2012, less than a year after losing her younger sister to lung cancer. So after great prayer and reflection she made the decision to set forth in alternative medical treatment options that are not covered by insurance. She is continually traveling back and forth to the Dallas Area to maintain her treatment plan.
Edie’s faith and determination to enhance and maintain her quality of life to be there for her family and friends has been inspirational, and has instilled in all of us that we are to “Trust in the LORD with all our HEART and lean not on our own UNDERSTANDING” (proverbs 3:5)
