Charlotte NC Listings and Choosing the Right Real Estate Agent

Exposure, Exposure, Exposure

The truth is - exposure to home buyers - is what really sells homes!

2001 brought huge changes in the Real Estate industry which has dramatically effected how Real Estate companies conduct their business.

What was this dramatic change?

It was called "Broker Reciprocity." Broker Reciprocity is an agreement among participating Broker members of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) to give each other permission to display their listings on each other's web sites.

Participating Brokers (called IDX Internet Data Exchange) can display all of each other's Active and Pending (Under Contract) listings.

Although most of the general public was unaware of this historic change, it empowers the consumer to have access to information which was only available through your local Real Estate agent.

This levels the playing field with all Real Estate Companies. Whether you are a one person office or 1000, it doesn't matter.

What matters is You; the consumer picks the right agent. Treat this choice like you would with a doctor or dentist. Ask yourself; is the person who can get the job done?

Can I work with this person, can I trust this person and how will they market my home. I have heard all too often that once the listing is given to an agent, the seller's never hear from the agent again.  Is this someone you want working for you? Also, make sure they offer you a guarantee that you can FIRE them if they don't do the job as promised.

It's your property; stay informed and make the right choice.
