Things To Do In Lakeland Florida - Weekend April 5-7, 2013
March is gone... and oh how time flies when you have fun in Lakeland Florida with plenty of things to do in April. Hang out time Downtown Lakeland near Munn Park, Joker Marchant (Tiger Town), Dixieland and Lake Mirror are the places to be this weekend.

April 5 - First Friday and it is the event of the Motorcycle Mania filled with many motorcycle on display. This is a free event that takes place downtown Lakeland in and around Munn Park from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Classic Car show and much more, in addition local shops and restaurants will stay open late.
April 6 - Florida Ice Cream Festival in its 1st annual event which takes place at Joker Marchant Stadium at Tiger Town. Gate Admission is $3.00 and children under 5 years get in free. A fun filled event for the entire family to enjoy. Entertainment, Kid-Zone, popscicle stick sculptures and a Brain Freeze Ice Cream Eating Contest. April 6 - Child of the Sun Jazz Festival - The Lakeland Rotary Club is ready to make this event even better which includes, Jazz Festival from 3:00 - 10:00 p.m. at the Lake Mirror Amphitheatre. April 6 - Dixieland Spring Art Fest - The Dixieland Historic Neighborhood Association welcomes anyone to the Dixieland Village Parking Lot on 1035 S. Florida Avenue between Hunter Street and Patterson Street for a fun filled event of fine arts, photography, wood working, textiles, sculpture and much more. The even is from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
April 6 - The Fancy Flea - If you love a Vintage home and garden market then Munn Park and the immediate vicinity surrounding the park is a must. From 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. you can view and buy vintage fashion, original art, baked good, antiques, garden decor and much more.
April 7 - My personal tip - check out places like Hollis Garden in Lakeland FL or the wildlife at Circle B Bar Reserve located at 4399 Winter Lake Road in Lakeland FL. An array of birds such as wading birds, ospreys, bald eagles - great photo opportunities. You can even venture to Lake Wales’ Bok Tower Garden where Russian-born concert pianist Vladimir Svoysky performs works from Frederic Chopin.
