My wife and I stopped for dinner in our favorite small town diner.
Our waitress was a young lady talking about graduation. Now, most everyone in the diner, (about 6-7) were talking with this young lady.
She was talking about getting ready for college and the things she needed. "I am going to the 2nd hand stores and asking friends and relatives for any extra things I may be able to get to furnish my room with."
WE heard one say they had a microwave, some had extra dishes and cookware.
But she said she needed a toaster and a coffee maker.
WE got our bill and when we paid my wife handed the young gal $25. "Here, we heard about your need for school so put this towards your toaster and coffee maker."
The young lady's eyes popped and we walked out. We did here a loud Thank You! but we just waved and kept walking.
Our meal had come to just over $12. WE love the place and they always have great people working there.
We will be back for sure.
