A Great Digital Camera for a Real Estate Agent

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

digital cameraFor years, I have used a digital Nikon D40 SLR, with an 18-55mm lens, along with a separate exterior flash, for shooting my photos of listings. I spent a great deal of time trying to take perfect photos. That means, sometimes I have to shoot a lot of pictures to get one that I really like. It also means sometimes I have to manipulate / adjust the photo in Photoshop to give it the pizzazz and sparkle it deserves. I agonize over the quality of my photos. That's because I'm the type of person who thinks if she's going to do a job, she better do that job to the very best of her ability. No lackluster performance out of me. I give it my all. And sometimes, my all needs to be improved. I've been looking at my photos lately and wishing they had more oomph. That they spoke a little louder. They the image was a touch sharper and in greater detail. When I realized is what I really need is a new digital camera for real estate.

So yesterday, I went to Pardee's Camera on El Camino. Read more in my personal blog today about The Perfect Digital Camera for Real Estate.

Glad to hear that you are not relying on your phone for your clients' photos (not that I would expect that you would--but I've seen so many of those lately, it's crazy).

That sounds very tempting!! I'm going to have to go take a look at that because I too am using a d40 Nikon.

Elizabeth -- good find on your new camera!  I also use an ultra-wide angle lens (mine is a Canon 10-22 and  it really opens up the entire room ... but I'm careful not to open it all the way because no one wants to see distortion).
