Month of March 2013 –Volume of sales is up, sales prices are up, and inventory is at an all time low. That is what is happening in Sun City Texas in a nutshell! Regardless of how one slices it, this market is making up for lost time from the past several years of softer sales and no price escalations. Entry-level homes continue to be a hot spot and we see strength in high-end home sales too. With 45 Pending Sales on the books, April will be another strong month.
Year To Date March 2013 – With 103 total re-sales for the first quarter, this exceeds a rate of one sale per day and a 47% increase over this time last year. Sales prices are also up in all categories demonstrating the strength and depth of the market. Inventory of re-sale homes is still low with just 73 available. It may be too early to predict, but unless we see an increase in inventory to satisfy the demand, the absolute number of homes sold could be reduced.
