Good By To My First Love
Like so many boys my age my first love was an older woman. An incredible beauty. Not the slightest bit demure. Chaste in appearance and reputation and persona. In my youth we spent an hour ever week day after school with her and her friends. In my teens we spent many an evening at the theater or driven-in with her and Frankie or Tommy, even a monkey or two.
Today we say goodby to our wonderful Annette you made the world a better place. We loved you.
There wasn't a young boy alive in the 60's who was not in love with Annette, now a girl that wanted to look like her. I did not know she passed, very sad.
Thanks for great entertainment when we were growing up!

Sorry to hear the news as I to was unaware. Certainly one of my first crushes too. Also will miss Margret Thatcher. Her and Ron were two of my favorites.

I met photographed and interview Reagan, but Annette was more personal!

Bill Annette was the first love for many of us. She passed away far to young.
I think that the fact that Margaret Thatcher also passed today may upstage Annette. I do remember watching her on Mickey Mouse Club (repeats in the 60s and early 70's ;-)

Bill... something we agree upon! I remember watching Annette in the late 1950's. She was your first crush, perhaps... but she was an idol to millions of American girls throughout the country. We all tried to be like her.
I will miss Annette... and of course I miss so much of what she stood for way back then. As has been said... Rest In Peace, Annette. <3
