whoa pony

WHOA PONY!  Let's stop here and sit awhile at dis perty lake.  UM! UM! I smell Texas Bar B Que and listen tu dat geetar music.  Can Ya Hear it?

That's what many a traveler may have said as they pulled in to the POMAROSA RV PARK in Bandera Texas.  A warm Texas Howdy and a Come On IN!  Folks here know how to make you feel welcome.  Stay a while and enjoy the beautiful Texas Hill Country.  Lots of places to see and things to do in Bandera and the surrounding towns.  Pomarosa RV Park is a good place to stay while you do your sightseeing.

There is a large Recreation Hall with a full service kitchen.  A large bar separates the kitchen from the living room where you can cozy up to the fireplace.  The room is spacious with a high ceiling and the western decor makes you feel right at home.  Many Monday night jam sessions and barbeques have been held here.

 inside rec hall

Men's and women's restrooms are on the backside of the rec hall.  Each restroom has two showers and sinks.  A laundry room is next door with full size washers and dryers.  Everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.                     fishing lake

The Pomarosa has a two acre lake just in case you want to fish a little.  Did you bring the grandkids?  They will want to pet the animals.  There are goats and sheep, ducks and geese, even a friendly swan.  They love to be petted and fed.

                                                                                                      log cabin office

The Pomarosa is located on Hwy 16 just outside Bandera on the way to San Antonio.  You can't miss it.  The office is a cute little log cabin with cedar furniture.  You're gonna love your stay here.

If you really love it, YOU CAN BUY IT.    It's for sale.    Check my website for details or give me a call.    Thanks,

Y'ALL COME BACK NOW, HEAR?

Ricki, You fooled me. I thought that you were doing a very nice Localism post, only to discover it is a listing. Well done.

Thank you Wendy,    This is a great place and so convenient to San Antonio and the Hill Country.  Please keep it in mind if you have a commercial buyer or anyone interested in land investment, as there is almost 12 acres here on busy and growing Hwy 16.  It could be used for multiple uses.  Thanks for commenting!  Have a great week. :)

Wow Ricki what a place; which I could buy Pomarosa - sounds like a super place,  and beautiful country setting. Would probably meet lots of interesting people. Maybe I will win the lottery. If I do, I'll be calling. Also, thanks for adding my name to your inspector's list. It takes ma awhile to get around on the internet to see what all is happening. Ceil says she is going to take a computer course so she can learn to link things together - I told her to add that to her list of things to do. It appears her list gets a little longer everyday.

Nice blog and pics

Thanks Carl,   The internet is supposed to make our lives easier but sometimes I wonder if it makes us busier.   I love it though and what an opportunity to meet great people like you!  I wish you could buy the Pomarosa. It is a great place!

Carl, you certainly would love the Pomarosa.  Don't you have an RV already.  You and Ceil should make plans to go there for a weekend -- hmmm, April would be a good time. :)   Maybe Ricki and her husband (Don) and me and my husband (Don) would go up and visit y'all!   Did you notice that our husband's are both named Don???

Hey Judi - Didn't think about that. I'll have to go to their website and check it out. Ceil has been wanting to go to Rockport, I think she and her sister are planning to go down to visit with their brother. I'll  have to see if we can work inPomarosa. That would be nice if we could all get together.

We have been tied down with repairs around this old house, it is never ending. Been working on plumbing today, one simple little job has ended up taking most of the day. The joy of home ownership.

Yes, we have an RV but haven't used it much lately keep hoping gas will go down but don't think that is going to happen. Infact, yesterday we even talked about selling the RV. Ceil says we should sell the house and live in the RV. Ya, Right!
