Thanks Everyone -

With all the grays and whites this winter in Chicago - I wanted to think Spring.  We're doing an Open House for Valentine's Day too w/a Chocolate Fountain - That should get them in there!

Julea - It's gorgeous (just like you), even if you did use rafia in thoe cups! ;)  I've always wanted to buy those prints, but have not had a property that suited them. :(

Kim,

The kitchen prints?  I love vintage prints - they have awesome colors, and always make people happy when they see them.

I love raffia, I know it's an inside joke w/you guys - but its such a good mix - Rich w/Poor - especially when you're dealing w/a 1.5m home. I love the texture and earthiness of it.

What can I say Julea?! Amazing!  Great color palate! I feel warmer already.

If you don't mind sharing...was there a budget for accessories?  Or, cost in and inventory out? Over the past months I have been building a pretty extensive prop library. Have not run across a client that wanted to purchase the accessories outright. Though, I am sure it will occur sooner than later!

Again. great work! If you are ever in a pinch, I am available to assist.

Gina,

Good to know another local !!

This is for a Builder, so we'll move all the furniture and accessories to another property once this is SOLD. I come up w/a budget after the home evaluation, and I split the budget into Furnishings, Accessories and my time for research, purchase and execution.

If you're renting furnishings, I think offering the option for purchase is a great idea in this market.  They can use the accessories as a buyer incentive, or use them as they please - usually in their own home...

Gina,

Anytime.  I am not an inventory person, although I have some accessories stockpiled.  I have found that in Chicago, because the home sit on the market for awhile, carrying inventory would not be a sound business model
