3 Tips for Creating Engaging Landing Pages on Your Website!

When it comes to your website, it seems that there’s always something to improve upon.  And it makes sense.  Potential clients are savvy about doing research and one of the first places they’ll go to learn more about who you are and what services you provide in the real estate industry will be your website.

In a world of social media, it’s important to not forget about the importance of your online presence through your website.  This is where you can provide all the information potential and current clients want to know and will help give a well rounded approach to who you are.  Once someone feels they have a good sense of who you are, then they will contact you to move forward... and not before then.

This is why your website still plays a vital role in reaching new clients!  While Facebook, Twitter or your blog will give quick snapshots; your website is what your online presence should point to as it provides the whole story.

In fact, the landing page of your website has the power to instantly attract of detract potential clients.  That’s why we wanted to point out three ways to create more engaging landing pages for your website.  Here are three ideas for creating a site that attracts your audience and encourages them to engage!

1. Create a Compelling Landing Page- Because visitors will make a judgement of your site within the first few seconds of viewing; it’s important to make it eye catching and appealing to a wide variety of people!  Things such as fonts, colors, titles, calls to action, navigation, etc... need to be taken into consideration.

Test as many of these variables as possible using the free Google Analytics "Content Experiments" program. Then, use the results of your experiments to make your custom landing pages more effective in converting new visitors into clients!

2. Create Custom Landing Pages- Creating custom landing pages hones in on each persons needs.  Let’s say you have a Facebook ad that targets buyers.  Having that ad link directly to a buyers’ specific landing page will give your audience exactly what they’re looking for!

Or, you can even design your sites’ homepage to highlight three different options such as buyers, sellers and general real estate pages.  These can appear to be three separate sites stemming off of your main landing page and will show that you want to cater to each client specifically.

3. Experiment with a Video Landing Page- Videos have become one of the top marketing tools within the last year, so it can be highly effective to use a video on your landing page.  Whether it’s an introduction to you and your services, about the area you serve, or a current market report; this can be a great way to draw in visitors to your site!

Of course these are just a few ideas that you can do to create engaging landing pages.  Whatever you choose to do, it’s important to look at your website objectively and creatively think through what can change, what can stay the same, and ask yourself what you would like to see on your page if you were a visitor.

The main thing to keep in mind is that your website is still a key aspect of your online presence and should be updated on a regular basis to keep your audience interested!
