Las Vegas Classic Caddy's

The District at Green Valley Ranch will have more than 70 vintage Cadillac and LaSalle automobiles on display, along with seven 2008 Cadillac models at it's third annual "Cadillac Through the Years" show. The show is this Sunday February 10 from 10AM to 5PM. It is open to the public and admission is free. The event is sponsored by Findlay Cadillac Saab, The District at Green Valley Ranch, Cadillac & LaSalle Club and VegasParent.com

The automobiles on display will include a 1917 Type 55, believed to be the oldest Cadillac on the road in Las Vegas. The owner of this vintage automobile, Colin Christie will also have 3 other Cadillacs featured in the show.

Owners of vintage Cadillac and LaSalle automobiles are invited to participate in the show. Vehicle registration forms are available at the Cadillac & LaSalle Club of Las Vegas website.

The public will be invited to vote for their favorite vehicle during the show. Ballots will be collected and the winners will be announced at the end of the show. There will also be live music and entertainment along with chances to win prizes from the District's merchants.

This will be a great history lesson in the development of the automobile to present day. Come and enjoy this event with the whole family.

I'm sure all the Cadillac lovers will be there for sure!

I love the Caddy line. I am excited about the new 2009 CTS-V with 550 horsepower. I am a big horsepower guy so this car makes me smile because the CTS-V it is going to go head to head with the BMW M-series and the Mercedes AMG series...and I can spend my money on an American car and that means a lot to me (and should mean a lot of other Realtors but typically it doesn't which is sad)

Roberta, you are hitting me where it hurts. I owned a 59 caddy in Ca. in the 90's. I am looking for a photo but I think I will have to scan one. I do not see any on my computer....

I've already passed on my love of old cars and homes on to my daughter, but I can tell you one of my favorite stops in Vegas was the car museum. I really need to get back there soon!

Oh, gosh! Those gorgeous fins bring back memories of the 50's! We had a neighbor with one. My parents had a 57 Plymouth with fins and push button transmission. Wonder if fins will make a comeback?

Patricia: They were some nice looking cars! I don't know if the fins will make a comeback.
