Golf - Getting ready for a great year

Last year I really decided to spend some quality time with my golf coach and on the practice range because I'm tired of being an average golfer. I want to be good, or at least better than I am now. I now have a medicus iron and driver, I have a new set of fitted Ping clubs, I have a new Ping putter and I have no excuses, at least I thought so.

But last spring I went to watch one of the practice rounds of the Masters golf tournament. I now have a new excuse for my bad shots. It's the golf course. I've seen what a good course looks like, and the ones I play don't look like that.

If you've never been, and most haven't, then you really can't imagine how perfect everything is. Not one blade of grass out of place. The fairways are in better condition than any green I've ever seen. Don't even talk about the greens, because it's impossible to compare them to any others. The grounds of the course outside of normal playing areas has the look of the best botanical garden in the world.

If you ever get the chance to go, do not hesitate, it's the best excuse for bad shots you will ever have.
