©Spring Changes means Real Estate Business Changes Too©
At Christmas time, I got a MACRO lens and have not taken it out of the case but once since then. Yesterday, a ladybug flew into the dog’s water bowl, so I decided it was time to take a few pictures with my new lens. I have been procrastinating for 3 months! Do I procrastinate in other parts of my life too?
I must practice to get better with this lens as it is still on ‘Automatic’ and I need to watch the disc and improve my skills. It is neat to be able to see the eyes of the bugs and the veins of the plants. Amazing how close to nature we can get! This made me think of my iPad as I still need more practice there.
So while I was outside taking my pictures, I started thinking how I need to get closer to my past clients, sphere, and potential clients. I stay in touch by emailed newsletters and snail mailed holiday cards but do I really get that close.
No, how many times do I just call to say hello and ask how the family is doing or how is the new house or what about the new job? I need to get closer so they know I care.
And to be a better agent, I should take a closer look at my business like I do nature. Is it where I want it to be or should I dig deeper for the real truth?
Do I need to plant more seeds (farming seeds) to get more listings. I think I need to take my gardening and nature tasks and add them to my business to see total growth in the next few months.
Also I must continue to get more skills on my iPad and go ahead and buy the new computer I have been waivering on buying.
To plant my seeds to have a lovely garden this summer will make me a happy farmer, photographer and real estate agent.
