Dear Client (My Imagined Speech)

This is all about real estate. If you think that the night never ends and the sun never comes, that the market is  bad, this is not for you.

This is for those, who know that the Ocean has, is and always will attract us, that the Beaches will always charm and fascinate us. This is for those, who understand that even the darkest night succumbs to a rising sun.

This is not about the next president or the next governor, - this is about G-d given things, and therefore this is for those who are smart not to compete with G-d.

BUY LOW & SELL HIGH  This is what real estate investment is all about.Whether you buy a small beachside cottage, or a multi-million dollar oceanfront villa.

Is this a good or bad market? For a young investor from Gainesville, who bought 2 top unfinished floors in a brand new Miami skyscraper for $150 a square foot, the market is great. And for the developer, who had to sell off these 16 units (8 per floor) on the 37th and 38th floor for only $150 per sq. ft. instead of $1,000 per sq. ft.- this market is a disaster. But this is the same market. This is the same property. These are the same units.

It is not the market, it is your position in it. You are either positioned to make a killing, or to lose your shirt.

If you want to make a killing:

Do not do what others do.

IF EVERYONE IS DOING IT, THEN IT IS TOO LATE. BUY NOT WHEN OTHERS ARE BUYING. BUY WHEN OTHERS ARE SELLING.

A lot of people are selling now. THAT MAKES THIS IS A PERFECT MARKET TO BUY. BECAUSE THE PRICES ARE LOW

Not because this is the election year, not because of what Nostradamus wrote centuries ago, not because of the latest news on TV. Only because people are selling and the prices are low.

Thanks Mark,

Just trying to get through the thick skin.

It surprises me how people look back only. The only good time to buy was always yesterday. Why they do not see that the time to buy is today, that the time to buy will happen again and again? Not at the same price, but it does not matter.

For whatever reason, for many people life is going on but real estate investment ended in 2005.

Evening, Jon - The first part of your post is quite poetic.  The rest is good information consumers would do well to keep in mind.  People might not always want to live in a little town in the middle of nowhere, but the beaches will always hold a special place for buyers.   The saying "buy land, they're not making any more of it" is especially true where beach front real estate is concerned.  Buy low - sell high.  Sounds like a winning plan to me.  Really good post.

Jesse & Cathy - How could I forget about this line. It is asking to be included. I am going to use it for Call Capture thing, that I started playing with, so I will make sure I would add it.

This is all to a point a bit cheesy, but it is what I thought to put as voice recording, hence short phrases, and repetition. And in this environment they need to hear what they can grasp when they can't go back and analyze. If I go too smart and analytical, I will simply outsmart myself.

It is like preaching, but surprisingly I feel I need to preach when people refuse to see the obvious. I more and more tend to think that we, as humans can be more manipulated by propaganda, ideology, religion, whatever. Actually this is well known and is called mass culture, if I am not mistaken. Interestingly, culture in this meaning is something different from being better educated, more knowledgeable, perceptive, anything.

So, can the huge number of people be in denial? Of course. How else can you explain that half of the world (more or less) thinks America is the great country and the other half think that this is the Evil?

Again, this has little to do with America, it has everything to do, who you are, and what your values are.

Hugh - Yep, I know about this formula and I love it, even though I did not think this would qualify, so I am flattered.

Thank you

Jeff -  I guess people can also do it on a smaller scale, if they stop thinking about what others say, but rather open their eyes and learn to trust what they see.

Thanks for commenting.

In some ways I suppose we are ministering to the real estate public... and sometimes they need it.  As for the culture comment, I agree, there's a big difference between the two meanings. The education aspect is much easier to change in some respects than the mass culture phenomenon.  People would do well to stop following the herd... that's a hard nut to crack though.
